Welcome!

Welcome!

My name is Galina. I live in the peachy state of Georgia where I'll be attending law school in August! In undergrad, I majored in Political Science with a concentration in Pre-Law.

What inspired me to start blogging was stumbling upon the "law school blogging community" on Pinterest. Ever since then, I've basically been waiting to graduate undergrad to start this blog - so I'm super excited!

Since I could remember, I wanted to be an attorney. I was born in Russia and moved to the U.S. with my mom when I was eight years old. My grandfather worked in the legal profession in Russia, so I think growing up around him, sparked my interest in the law and politics. Also, my grandfather was the one who bought the "Legally Blonde" VCR for my aunts and I back in 2001 - which was one of the first glimpses of America for me. So even in Russian, Legally Blonde is my all time favorite, therefore it was only right to include the name in my blog.

Most people ask what type of law I want to practice - my response is usually "I have three years to figure it out." I have had several internships and took a couple pre-law classes in undergrad - so far I've found great interest in criminal law and employment law, but I hope to gain first hand experience in some additional practices.

I am a huge animal lover (dogs are my favorite). My boyfriend and I have two weimaraners, Louise and Charlotte. I've volunteered at the local animal shelter and had the chance of being involved in an inmate prison dog program.

I'm so excited to begin my journey as a law student. I hope to grow as a person, use the knowledge I acquire to make a positive change, and hopefully give some advice along the way to other students!

Feel free to email me with any questions or advice & please subscribe to my blog!
